In my capacity as host of www.WinelineRadio.com and www.WinelineTV.com, I have had the pleasure of visiting Montefalco a number of times. In fact, whenever we are in Central Italy, we make it a point to spend some time in Montefalco, a favorite hill town in Umbria.

When we were planning our trip before the pandemic, we decided that we wanted to stay inside the walls because one of the folks traveling with us recently had a knee replacement and his ability to walk alot might be limited. I came across Casa Clarignano on the web and thought the location was perfect. And, it seemed the new renovation was modern, attractive and thad the features that were perfect for two couples travelling together. So, I booked Casa Clarignano for our stay in Montefalco. we were not dissapointed.

We arrived and were greeted by Marina, the local host who showed us to the apartment. Just outside of Casa Clarignano is the main street of Montefalco which leads to a short walk uphill to the main square. Along the way, there are loads of restautants, shops and enotecas - wine shops that sell the famous Sagrantino wine that only comes from Montefalco. In short, Casa Clarignano has risen to the top of our list for Umbrian stays along with Villa Pambuffetti (also featured below).
